We have several music ministry programs:
Worship Choir
Worship Orchestra
Jubilation Ringers Hand Bell Choir
We have a blended worship service at Birdville — that is, we mix contemporary music with the traditional favorite hymns. In Psalms 96, 98, & 149, as well as in Isaiah 42:10, we are commanded to “Sing to the Lord a new song.” We also find the command to sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs in Eph. 5:19 and Col. 3:16. Through these teachings we sing both the old and the new expressing to God our love for Him.
At Birdville Baptist, we believe the purpose of music in worship is nothing more than, nothing less than, nothing other than the work of the church — which is ministry. Our music ministry is focused on three goals:

At Birdville Baptist, we believe the purpose of music in worship is nothing more than, nothing less than, nothing other than the work of the church — which is ministry. Our music ministry is focused on three goals:
- Glorifying God (i.e., worship in an upward direction), as noted by Paul in Ephesians 5:19: “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
- Ministering to God’s people (i.e. nurture/discipleship; inward direction), as cited, again by Paul, in Colossians 3:16: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.”
- Ministering to the world (i.e. witness/evangelism; outward direction), as referenced in Matthew 28:16-20: “Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’"
